Hope

So we are first backup on the Anderson place and now we discover that there is a SECOND backup. So there are people with less hope than us, god help them. I’m not closing the hope door until I see that it’s gone into escrow-firm. Until then, there is a chance. There is a chance.

Last weekend we got back up on the horse and looked at a really great place in just as great a location. Trouble is, it’s about 40k more than we want to pay. And all the floors slant every which way. This bugs Mark more than it bugs me. The place got a whole new foundation about ten years ago, so as long as it’s structurally sound (and it is), I’m fine with it. But he can’t get over it. And that’s fair. One of these days there’s going to be something I can’t get over, I’m sure.

I’ll resist gushing too much about the place, but I feel the need to mention that the kitchen has professional grade appliances and opens up (via French doors) to a very private, lush, and peaceful little garden that would be perfect for entertaining or for just enjoying a good book and a good Sauvignon Blanc. Did I mention it has tons of skylights and a Dutch front door? I love a Dutch door. Oh well.
